Jharkhand Mechanic Transforms Maruti 800 Into Lamborghini-Inspired Supercar

The unique creation was built by Mohammad Arif in a small workshop in Chandil and has since gone viral across social media platforms. His innovative “desi supercar” showcases how creativity and craftsmanship can turn an ordinary hatchback into something extraordinary.

From Budget Hatchback to Supercar Lookalike

According to reports, Arif spent around ₹4 lakh on the entire transformation — just a tiny fraction of what a real Lamborghini costs.

Unlike professional custom garages that rely heavily on ready-made body kits, Arif hand-crafted most of the modifications himself. He reportedly cut, welded, and reshaped panels to achieve the aggressive styling associated with high-end supercars.

To replicate the low-slung, wide stance typical of a Lamborghini, the original structure of the Maruti 800 underwent significant alterations. The tall, boxy body was stripped down, and the wheel arches were flared to create a broader and sportier appearance.

Instead of using heavy metal panels, fiberglass body parts were likely used to sculpt the sharp, angular design lines while keeping the vehicle lightweight.

Striking Exterior Enhancements

The modified car now features:

A large rear wing

Deep front splitters

16-inch wide alloy wheels replacing the original 12-inch wheels

Custom LED headlamps

A bright neon green paint finish

These upgrades dramatically change the appearance of the small hatchback, giving it a bold and eye-catching presence on the road.

Sporty Cabin, Stock Engine

Inside, the car has been reimagined as a sporty two-seater cabin, complete with features such as a sunroof — something the original Maruti 800 never offered.

However, beneath the dramatic exterior lies the original 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine. The stock engine typically produces around 37–40 bhp and 56–59 Nm of torque. While the performance does not match that of a real Lamborghini, the visual transformation is undeniably impressive.

A Viral “Desi Supercar”

Though it may not deliver supercar-level speed, Mohammad Arif’s modified Maruti 800 proves that passion and skill can create something remarkable on a modest budget. His creation has captured widespread attention online, earning praise for its ingenuity and craftsmanship.
