Jets topple Bills on field goal in last 2 minutes

The New York Jets had a chance to show everyone they were legitimate on Sunday.

And they did that, downing the Buffalo Bills, 20-17, at MetLife when Greg Zuerlein kicked a 28-yard field goal with less than two minutes remaining.

The Jets improved to 6-3 on the season, a half-game behind the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills.

Gang Green trailed 14-3 in the second quarter and only allowed a field goal through the remaining 36:30 to the team considered the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Running backs Michael Carter and James Robinson each scored touchdowns to give New York a 17-14 lead before Buffalo tied it on a field goal by Tyler Bass early in the fourth quarter.

The Jets had 174 rushing yards against Buffalo and had the ball for almost 33 minutes.

Josh Allen had a pair of TD runs for Buffalo and threw for 205 yards but he also was picked a couple of times.
