After being dismissed at the trade deadline, the Jets are expected to once again make a run at Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams this offseason, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The goal, of course, would be to reunite Aaron Rodgers with one of his best former teammates.
The team’s decision on whether to deal Adams will depend on how the rest of the season goes, per the report. Under interim coach Antonio Pierce, the team is 2–0 and Adams seems happier than ever. If the Raiders can continue their winning ways, Adams might want to stay put.
For New York, Adams makes too much sense. The offense has a myriad of issues but Adams’s star power alongside a healthy Rodgers would transform it in a blink of an eye. Going into Week 11, the 30-year-old has tallied 57 catches for 659 yards and three touchdowns.
