NFL kickers are used to blocking out distractions and doing their best to stay completely in the moment to make clutch field goals. But it’s hard to simulate the type of pressure they face in those end-of-game scenarios during practice.
New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein came close during his pregame warmups before Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
While Zuerlein was taking a few practice kicks, Vikings cheerleaders invaded the exact spot of the field he was kicking from. But Zuerlein didn’t let the routine run him away or distract him from the task at hand. The man was locked in.

And now we know how Zuerlein made 92% of his kicks last season.
