The Jets finished their Green and White scrimmage on a high note, scoring a touchdown. But it wasn’t Breece Hall who scored it. Nor was it Zach Wilson, Garrett Wilson, Tyler Conklin or even any of the linemen. It was a young boy by the name of A.J., who lived out the dream of every football fan in the world.
A.J. has cerebral palsy and was chosen as the SNY Play Ball kid, giving him the opportunity of a lifetime: to take a handoff from QB Zach Wilson, run up the middle, cross the goal line and score a touchdown.
After he scored, the Jets circled around A.J. and he even spiked the ball just like Rob Gronkowski. His mother also joined the crowd in a very special moment.
Stories like this are why we love football. Major props to the Jets for making this moment happen for A.J.
To finish our Green & White scrimmage, we got a new running back in @SNYtv Play Ball kid, AJ, who has Stage 1 Cerebral Palsy.
