A mid-air emergency was declared on a Jet2 flight on Tuesday, March 7, after a man died on-board the aircraft. The alarm was raised when the person "didn't wake up".
The flight from Antalya in Turkey to the UK requested priority landing due to an 'unresponsive' passenger. The passenger died despite desperate attempts by cabin crew to resuscitate. People onboard were described by one passenger as "crying and really shaken up".
The plane coming in from Antalya was forced to make an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport. Cabin crew members performed CPR on the 44-year-old man for 40 minutes but, despite the best efforts of staff, he tragically passed away.
