Tour operator and airline Jet2 is expanding its holiday programme to cope with demand for overseas breaks this summer and beyond. The company has recently announced the expansion of its Summer 22 programme for May half-term to popular holidays hotspots.
There are also one million free child places available with Jet2holidays. Meanwhile, extra flights and holidays have been confirmed for many destinations, including Mainland Spain, the Canaries, the Balearics, Turkey and Portugal (Faro) from across its 10 UK bases.
Summer 2023 capacity is being raised from three key airports in response to increased passenger demand with extra destinations added next summer from Birmingham, Stansted and Manchester airports. Sicily and Sardinia have been added to the programme from Birmingham, with Tivat in Montenegro available from Manchester, and Athens and Rome from Stansted.
Additional aircraft will be introduced come at each of the three bases to support the expansion. It means Birmingham will serve 52 destinations including the resumption of flights to Bourgas in Bulgaria, with 55 locations available from Manchester and 42 routes from Stansted.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The addition of more destinations and extra capacity from three bases comes on the back of enormous demand for our award-winning flights and holidays from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester airports and, as always, we are quick to respond. Summer ’23 will see an additional aircraft come into our fleet at each of these bases.
"The addition of new destinations from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester airports really expands our offering. In addition to flying customers to their favourite holiday destinations from these bases, we continue to have a laser focus on delivering the very best experience so that customers choose us time and time again.”
