'The use of natural materials like wood, stone, and linen further enhances the organic feel, making dining spaces feel warm and grounded.'

'Balance is important, which is why the combination with the vintage rug helps layer out the space,' explains Elvin Zimmerman, Owner and designer at handmade furniture company, Wildwood Rustics in Pennsylvania. 'A rug provides a visual boundary that lets your eye know exactly where the dining zone begins and ends, explains Joanne Loftus, President and Owner of Archival Designs.' Extend the rug at least 24 inches beyond the edge of the table on all sides. That way chairs stay on the rug even if they are pulled out for sitting, and no one gets their chair leg caught on the edge of the rug mid-meal.'
