Jesse Marsch details Andrea Radrizzani talks over Leeds United's remaining transfer targets

Jesse Marsch will have the chance to sit down with Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani this week to discuss the club’s plan of action for the remainder of the transfer window. The Whites have made seven signings so far this summer with Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra joining the senior squad, while Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins have been added to the club’s under-21s ranks.

However, with just one month remaining in the transfer window, the club are on the lookout for more recruits in order to bolster and supplement their first-team squad. Marsch revealed during the club’s trip to Australia that Leeds are searching for a striker and a left-back and targets have been discussed with Victor Orta.

More talks will take place this week with Radrizzani making the journey to West Yorkshire and while the head coach insists Leeds will not rush into anything, he is confident of being able to make additions.

“Andrea is here this week and we’ll have a lot of good discussions,” the American said after Sunday’s encouraging 6-2 win over Cagliari at Elland Road. “With the five guys we’ve brought in we were totally clear that these five guys were who we wanted and we went out and got them.

“I’m very thankful to Victor and Andrea for getting those done and they did a good job early to secure those players integrated into our team. It’s made us strong for where we are right now.

“We have to be really clever about how to make the next additions to make sure that as good a job as we’ve done with the five, and you could say six with Darko (Gyabi) as well, with two or three more that we are as confident as those guys.”

He added: “We want to make some more additions and we have targets. We wanted last week to really evaluate things and then to be prudent on our future decisions. Hopefully this week we’ll make some final decisions and final moves.”

Charles De Ketelaere is known to be one player Leeds have looked at extensively this summer and Marsch spoke about the club’s interest ahead of United’s draw with Crystal Palace in Perth. However, it seems they have given up on the Belgium international, with Marsch believing a deal with AC Milan is close to completion.

“I think he is,” Marsch said when asked whether De Ketelaere was off the table. “I think De Ketelaere is confirmed to go to Milan, from what I’m hearing, but nothing has been announced so we have treated it for two or three weeks like he’s not coming.”
