Jesse Lingard's classy gesture as he joins partying fans on Las Vegas stag do

Jesse Lingard splashed out on two bottles of champagne in a classy gesture for some football fans enjoying a stag do in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old England international is currently holidaying in Las Vegas following his release from Manchester United. And this week he joined in with a pool party in the City of Sin when he bumped into a group of men celebrating the upcoming nuptials of one of their own.

The West Ham United and Newcastle United-linked free agent bumped into the group of Brits before enjoying a chat and taking part in the festivities. Documenting the whole thing in video form on TikTok, the lads were more than delighted to have Lingard join the fun.

The video’s narrator said: “We were at Marquee beach club in Las Vegas for my friend’s stag do and then from the cabana next door, in popped Jesse Lingard. A few of the boys are big Manchester United fans so they were going absolutely wild, my friend Dean, he’s a season ticket holder at Old Trafford.

“Jesse Lingard was talking to everyone, took photos with everyone and then bought us two bottles of champagne for the stag do.”

The video comes at a time where Lingard’s future ahead of the 2022/23 season stands uncertain. Both West Ham and Newcastle have been credited with an interest in the midfielder who spent 22 years at Old Trafford before his exit was announced.

Should Jesse Lingard re-sign for West Ham United this summer? Have your say in the comments section.

Latest reports from The Sun claim that the Hammers are keen to bring Lingard back to the London Stadium this summer and could sell winger Said Benrahma in order to make way for him. It is claimed that the Algerian’s inconsistency during his time in east London has led to manager David Moyes wanting to cash in on the former Brentford forward and spend the money on upgrading his squad in other areas.

West Ham spent £30million on signing Benrahma from Brentford in January 2021 permanently after first joining the club three months earlier, initially on loan. The report suggests that the Hammers would be looking to recoup that fee if they were to sell the Algerian this summer.

Should a sale go through, it would generate funds and free up some of the wage bill at the London Stadium that could see West Ham strike a deal to resign Lingard, who shone on loan during the second half of the 2020/21 campaign. However, he opted against a return last season in the hopes of improved game time at Old Trafford, which did not happen.

Another deal West Ham are hoping to complete soon is the signing of centre-back Nayef Aguerd from Stade Rennais. The Moroccan international has been heavily linked with completing a £30m to the London Stadium from the Ligue 1 club.
