Jesse Lingard 's brother branded Manchester United "classless" after the midfielder was not given any kind of send-off in his final match at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old is out of contract in less than two months' time and his chances of being part of the club's new era under incoming boss Erik ten Hag are remote. Despite the Dutch tactician reportedly wanting to hold talks with Lingard over his future, his brother, Louie Scott, has hit out with a scathing social media post after interim manager Ralf Rangnick kept him on the bench for Monday's 3-0 thumping of Brentford in the Premier League.
"20 years of blood sweat and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals, not even a farewell. No wonder it's Conference League next year," Louie Scott wrote on his private Instagram story, poking fun at United's struggles and taking aim at owners the Glazer family after fans' recent protests. "Attacking players for celebrations when the club's being sold to the super league OK.
"Class of '92, Busby Babes, you're ran by people who don't even know the offside trap. Classless and the fans need to realise. Goodnight, godbless! Been there since nine years of age and didn't even get a send-off!!!
"Well done bro your family are proud."
Monday night's win means that the Red Devils will almost certainly not be playing in the Europa Conference League next season, now sitting six points clear in the final Europa League place ahead of their final two away games. Nevertheless, Lingard's brother's frustrations were clear after the academy graduate was snubbed of a farewell appearance and proper goodbye.

That luxury was afforded to a number of teammates however, with Nemanja Matic having already confirmed his exit, and Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani also set to leave United when their respective deals expire in June. Matic and Mata both started the match, while Cavani made a late cameo after six weeks out injured.
Amid Lingard's predicament, club legend Paul Scholes has tipped Ten Hag to offer him a lifeline. "I think Jesse has been treated pretty poorly by the club, to be honest," Scholes told talkSPORT, after Mirror Football exclusively reported that Ten Hag has scheduled one-to-one meetings over Zoom with every member of the squad ahead his hotly-anticipated arrival.
"He was ready to sign for Newcastle [in the January transfer window ] at one point and West Ham, right at the end of deadline day and he was told he was going to get more minutes. That clearly hasn't happened. He's deserved a chance. We all saw what he did at West Ham.
"He's a really good footballer and can bring goals to a team and with this team playing so poorly as well, for him not to get a chance. I think he's unfairly treated. I think he might suit [Ten Hag] and he might want to keep him. "We will see what happens. It's obvious he never wants to leave Manchester United, and if this manager wants him then why wouldn’t he stay?"
