Jesse Lingard among Manchester United players training in Dubai during winter break

Manchester United players may be on a break but that hasn't stopped a few of them from continuing to work hard on their holidays.

The Premier League has welcomed back the winter break for the next fortnight after there wasn't one last season due to the compressed nature of the season following the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Not every player will be able to enjoy the time off, however, as FIFA has used the space to create a one-off international break as well.

There will be a double round of World Cup qualifiers for South American, Asian, Oceanic and North and Central American nations after fixtures were postponed because of Covid-19 last year.

As a result, Fred and Alex Telles are away with Brazil and Edinson Cavani has been called up by Uruguay while Eric Bailly and Hannibal are currently still representing their countries at the African Cup of Nations.

They aren't the only United players jet-setting across the world, however, as Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot were all spotted in Manchester airport on Sunday on their way to Dubai.

Jesse Lingard has also joined the trio in the Emirate nation and they were keeping themselves in prime condition on Monday at the world-renowned Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

Lingard shared footage on his Instagram story of him working out on an exercise bike, of Rashford and Dalot doing some weight work and then of himself on the centre's running track.

United now have another 12 days before they will return to action in the fourth round of the FA Cup against Middlesbrough on February 4.
