Jess couldn't stop eating toasties - then she dropped 3st in eight weeks

A woman said she looked in the mirror one day and had to make a change. Jess Cooke couldn't stop eating toasties and was piling on the pounds.

She said it began in sixth form, when she started eating more because of exam stress. Now 24, she said she had always been fit and healthy, but her eating habits got away from her at school.

When she hit 10st she looked in the mirror and knew she had to do something to reverse the way she was heading. So, in 2020, Jess signed up to a fitness app and went on to drop 3st in just eight weeks, reports the Liverpool ECHO.

Jess said: "Going into sixth form I was just eating and I think I became lazy, then I looked in the mirror and I thought 'I can't look like this anymore'. I would just snack all the time, I had something in front of my face constantly.

"I never had much of a sweet tooth back then, but I would eat crisps and chocolate bars. The main one was I used to eat toasties all the time, which is not a problem - you can still eat them - but not all day every day."

Jess, from Liverpool, is now a lifeguard on the Disney Cruise line and said that after losing the three stone she has more energy. She contacted POW8R, an online fitness app, to transform her lifestyle.

Owned by couple Callum Webb and Holly Braithwaite, POW8R supports its clients in more than 40 countries with their health and fitness goals, helping them to transform their bodies and change their mindsets, lifestyles and habits to live a healthier and more balanced life.

Jess said: "It was just not how I wanted to live, I had no energy and did not feel like myself in my own skin, it was not very comfortable to live like that. I'm not going to lie, it was one of the hardest things I have had to do mentally.

"I feel like you always have that kind of mental block and sometimes need that extra push. Now I'm eating 1,500 calories a day, tracking all my food, and doing five workouts a week with Callum and Holly. I wanted to change my whole lifestyle to be healthier and feel good in my own skin and I achieved a serious transformation in just eight weeks".
