Jerry Yates is reportedly a Rangers transfer target but they face stiff competition to land him in January.

A number of scouts were at Bloomfield Road to run the rule over the 25-year-old, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the Gers were one of them,
It’s understood Blackpool would be looking for a fee of around £5million for the frontman. But with his contract having 18 months left to run by the time the transfer window opens, then this winter could be their last chance to meaningfully cash in on him before next summer. Yates was a key figure as Blackpool won promotion back to the Championship last season. He hit 20 goals to fire them back into the second tier, but Blackpool sit 16th just now, just three points outside the relegation zone.
Antonio Colak is the main striker at Ibrox right now after a red hot start to the campaign. Alfredo Morelos is struggling for fitness and form and his contract is up in the summer. Talks have taken place over a new deal but the Colombian can speak to other clubs in January and Rangers may have to start succession planning.
