Jermaine Beckford not phased by Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United contract speculation

Jermaine Beckford is not worried about speculation regarding Marcelo Bielsa's future at Elland Road.

The Argentinian's contract is set to expire in the summer, as per his preference to sign a year-by-year contract.

Jesse Marsch has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Bielsa, if he were to bring an end to his stay in Leeds.

Nonetheless, Beckford is not phased by the speculation, reiterating it's the way the Whites boss prefers to operate.

"Look, Marcelo Bielsa signs a year-by-year contract," said Beckford told Sky Sports ahead of Sunday's 4-2 defeat to Manchester United.

"That's what he's always done. You have to look at when he tends to sign his contracts.

"It's not during the season it's always near the end of the season. I think, this contract, he literally signed days before the season started.

"When you take that into account, I'm not worried. I'm not concerned at all. You have to look at what's going on over the last couple of seasons with injuries as well.

"It has caused a little bit of an issue, but that's something Marcelo Bielsa does. That's something Leeds United fans have got used to and I don't think it's anything to worry about at all."
