Jeremy Renner has teased new music inspired by his near-fatal snow plough accident at the beginning of the year.
The Marvel actor, 52, was crushed by the seven-ton vehicle on New Year's Day outside his home in Nevada, sustaining blunt chest trauma and several other injuries.
Renner was rushed to hospital, where he was treated for major trauma, 30 broken bones, and blood loss.
While his body is now being held together by titanium plates and screws, he has made a remarkable recovery and says he has now channeled the traumatic experience into new tunes.
Renner, who is an accomplished singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist and drummer, has previously released two EPs – Live For Now and The Medicine – in 2020.
Taking to Instagram to update fans about his latest musical endeavours, he revealed that his latest collection was titled Love and Titanium.
Uploading an image which appeared to be the cover artwork of his new release long with the word "soon", he captioned the post: “A collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year.
“Love and Titanium has been painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create. I hope I get the courage to share with you all.”
Renner is best known for playing the Marvel superhero character Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye. In addition to starring as the character in the Avengers films and their various spin-offs, he fronted his own series on Disney+, titled Hawkeye, opposite Hailee Steinfeld.
The American-born star also won a number of awards for his turn in the 2009 film The Hurt Locker.
