Jeremy Clarkson sparks concern among fans as he sports bandaged wrist in new post

Jeremy Clarkson has sparked concern among fans as he showed off a bandaged wrist in a new social media post.

The Clarkson’s Farm star recently enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday with his long-time partner Lisa Hogan, which he documented on Instagram.

However, the 64-year-old worried fans as he returned to his social media on Thursday to promote his new book and flashed his white plastered wrist.

In the video, he addressed his followers: “Hello, I've just been on holiday and I thought I'd tell you about some books I read”.

He first showed Annihilation by Michel Houellebecq before admitting he didn’t like it as much as the writer’s previous offerings, Serotonin and Submission.

The Grand Tour presenter then recommended a “good book”, You Got Nothing Coming by Jimmy Lerner, before describing his third, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, as a “cracker”.

But his recommendations were all just a ploy to promote his upcoming book, Diddly Squat Home To Roost, which comes on October 24.

“None of them however are quite as good as this, which is Diddly Squat Home To Roost, by me!” he quipped.

“And if you order it now, it's out in a couple of weeks you get it half price” he went on to inform his followers.

While many were excited for his upcoming release, many were distracted by his bandaged wrist, leading to some commenting under the post about their concern.

One penned: “How’d you hurt your wrist Jezza?”

“Have you been in AN hospital @jeremyclarkson1 ?” another asked. A third remarked: “I shall add it to the collection, What's happened to your wrist?”

A fourth questioned: “What happened to you hand? That's a suspicious looking bandage.”

Another claimed that the star had been filming for his Amazon series and penned: “Oh dear.....filming today and now an apparent injury to the wrist oops!”.

The Standard has contacted Jeremy Clarkson’s rep for comment.

Elsewhere, Clarkson was left stunned after witnessing a contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire pull off a “never seen before” move.

The TV presenter praised the man called Kevin's “absolutely tremendous” tactics after he reached the £125,000 mark without using a single lifeline or setting a safety net during a recent episode.
