NAGPUR: Star city paddler Jennifer Varghese won a brace of bronze medals in international table tennis tournaments this week. At the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender tournaments in Tunisia and Algeria, the city girl suffered defeats in the semifinal stage of the U-17 and U-19 girls' singles events respectively.
After going down fighting 2-3 against Su Tsz Tung in a thrilling U-17 semifinal at Tunisia, Jennifer lost her U-19 last-four clash to Wong Hoi Tung 1-3. Both Tung and Tong were representing Hong Kong in the WTT event.
