Jennifer Lopez 's hairstylist has revealed how he created the perfect bridal look for the star's Las Vegas wedding over the weekend.
Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton has opened up about his inspiration for the star's 'timeless' and 'effortless' look, and revealed he and the bride were like 'like two kids getting ready and playing dress up' as they prepared for her to walk down the aisle on Saturday.
Chris helped the Jenny From the Block singer get ready before she finally tied the knot with Ben Affleck at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel in Sin City, just months on from the actor popping the question for the second time.
The new Mrs Affleck, 52, and the Gone Girl star, 49, became husband and wife after queuing for marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on Saturday, with the bride wearing a dress "from an old movie" and the actor donning a white suit jacket from his wardrobe.
"We felt the hair shouldn’t be overly done," hairstylist Chris told Vogue when discussing Jennifer's bridal tresses. "I pulled back the front of the hair on either side to keep the face open — still with the illusion of the hair being down.
"The technique was all about getting a gorgeous, luxe finish to the hair. I wanted an effortless, flowy feeling — that when she walked, the hair bounced."
Chris went on to explain how he gave the Hustlers actress a "classic blowout" before using a three-inch curling iron to give her mane "that extra kick of love."
To keep her hair looking picture-perfect throughout the ceremony, Chris spritzed the mum-of-two's with anti-humidity spray, shine spray, and hairspray to keep everything in place.
Newly weds Jennifer and Ben delighted the showbiz world when they rekindled their romance last year, 18 years on from when they famously ended their engagement weeks before their first planned wedding.
"We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient," Jennifer wrote to her fans as she shared her happy news over the weekend.
The love birds wed in front of Ben's kids, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Jennifer's 14-year-old twins Emme and Max, who she had with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Hairstylist Chris was also there for the pair's special day, recalling to Vogue: "It was such an amazing day and I was honored to be a part of it. We were like two kids getting ready and playing dress up."
Sharing Jennifer's bridal look on TikTok, Chris also revealed the multi-talented star was in charge of doing her own makeup for her fourth wedding.
Nail artist Tom Bachik was entrusted to create the mum-of-two's custom manicure, while stylist Rob Zangari helped the star choose her gowns for her big day.
Jennifer sent fans into melt down on Sunday, when she revealed in her newsletter On the JLo that she tied the knot donning a "dress from an old movie".
It's not yet known which of her previous film roles she wore either of the two gowns she sported for her Las Vegas wedding, or if the dress was even attached to a movie project she was involved in.
The actress has worn bridal gowns in the following movies; Marry Me, Jersey Girl, My Family, The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Enough, Monster in Law, Shotgun Wedding, Marry Me, and El Cantante.
