Jennifer Lopez has made the decision to rebrand her tour, transforming it into a greatest hits show following the cancellation of seven dates and challenges with ticket sales. Originally named 'This Is Me…Now,' the tour has been revamped to 'This Is Me…Live | The Greatest Hits,' as reported by Variety. This shift indicates a move away from focusing solely on her latest album's tracks to encompassing her entire discography, potentially appealing to a broader audience.
The tour was initially announced in February to coincide with Lopez's 'This Is Me…Now' album and accompanying films. However, the singer quietly called off shows in Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans last month. Furthermore, concerts in Cleveland and Houston were removed entirely from Ticketmaster's website, with the cancellations attributed to 'the event organizer,' according to Ticketmaster.
It was revealed that rescheduling the concerts was not feasible due to a logistical issue through the promoter. In addition to tour setbacks, Lopez faced challenges with album sales. Her latest studio album, released in February after a decade-long hiatus, debuted at a disappointing No. 38 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album, centered around Lopez's love for her husband Ben Affleck, received criticism for its 'watery' and recycled sounds and narratives from decades past. The couple, who first dated in the early 2000s, tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022.
