Canberra hairdressing superstar Jenni Tarrant is never one to rest on her laurels.
So it was this week, when Jenni was back in Canberra after being crowned the NSW/ACT Hairdresser of the Year in Sydney on Monday night.
"Onwards and upwards, I say," she said.
"I'm going for the Australian title now."
The 2026 ANZ Hair Industry Awards - Creative are the Australian and New Zealand hair industry's celebration of creativity and excellence.
The awards this year received a record number of entries and were evaluated by more than 100 leading hair professionals from around the world.
At the dazzling gala at Darling Harbour, Jenni was named NSW/ACT Hairdresser of the Year 2026. The also won the award in 2024.
Jenni, the owner of Bond Hair Religion in Kingston, is renowned as an industry leader with her 40 years' experience but is perhaps best recognised for her dedication to giving back.
One of her major achievements is creating her own charity, the Tarrant Foundation.
Her foundation gives 100 per cent of donations to people in need, funding anything from a sleeping bag for the homeless to essentials for people escaping family violence to trauma care for children.
The Mocha Group created the hair awards and its founder Linda Woodhead was thrilled to celebrate Jenni's win.
"Jenni took home one of the night's most coveted titles and it's a win that's been thoroughly earned," Ms Woodhead said.
"Her talent, drive and relentless pursuit of excellence are exactly what this award represents. She now stands among our most respected industry ambassadors, setting the benchmark for professionalism and innovation in hairdressing expertise and creativity."
