Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah found the hit stick on his game controller on Sunday. He racked up five tackles, one TFL and a forced fumble in the Lions triumph. Unfortunately, Okudah’s walloping hits caused some collateral damage in the Week 9 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Two different hits by Okudah on Packers players caused some friendly-fire injuries to his Lions’ teammates. Both DE Julian Okwara and S Kerby Joseph had to go to the locker room after being the unintended victim of the Okudah hit stick. Both were initially evaluated for concussions and Okwara did return. Joseph appeared fine after the game despite not returning.
Okudah offered some love for the teammates he hammered on Sunday. On his Twitter account, Okudah playfully offered to buy dinner for Okwara and Joseph for the unfortunate hits.
I owe y’all dinner for that friendly fire.. @julian_okwara @JKERB25 🫣 pic.twitter.com/j15eZjUvB4
