McNeil sustained the injury on September 6 when he was hit by a pitch from Cincinnati’s Brandon Williamson. After a period of rehabilitation, McNeil made his return to action this weekend for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League, where he showed promising performance at the plate and in the field.
On the other side, the Dodgers made some adjustments to their roster for the upcoming series. Pitcher Alex Vesia and infielder Miguel Rojas were omitted from the roster due to injuries. Vesia experienced rib cage cramping during warm-ups in the previous game, while Rojas has been dealing with a left-thigh strain that caused him to miss the final two games against the Padres.
