As Jeff Bezos, the 61-year-old billionaire, prepares to marry former news anchor Lauren Sánchez in a grand ceremony in Venice, one key item has taken centre stage before the celebrations: an 'ironclad' prenuptial agreement.

After his £130 billion ($165 billion) divorce from ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, Bezos is ensuring that history doesn't repeat itself. One of the world's richest men, Bezos and Scott divorced in 2019 after 25 years of marriage. The couple married in 1993, long before Amazon became a global powerhouse, and had no prenuptial agreement.
