Jeff Bezos has spent billions chasing a future most people will never see up close. Now, the Amazon (AMZN) founder wants his rocket company to reach a point where launching into space becomes almost routine — with a rocket taking off every minute. His own team thinks that goal sounds crazy, and Bezos knows it.
“Our goal is to fly every day. And then once we’re flying every day, we want to fly every hour. And then once we’re flying every hour, we want to fly every minute,” Bezos said in an October interview with Bret Baier on Fox News’ “Special Report.”
