Jeetendra’s journey from a modest upbringing in a Mumbai chawl to one of the city’s well-known celebrity homes reflects a significant change in the family’s fortunes. The veteran actor has spoken about growing up in Girgaon’s Shyam Sadan chawl, while reports on the Kapoor family’s property holdings offer a glimpse into their current real estate portfolio.
Jeetendra’s ‘Krishna’ bungalow in Juhu
The Kapoor family’s main residence is the ‘Krishna’ bungalow in Juhu, also known as ‘Prem Milan’.
The bungalow sits at Plot 26, Gulmohar Cross Road 5, JVPD Scheme, Juhu, Mumbai - 400049, in the kind of neighbourhood where property values are measured in hundreds of crores and neighbours include film industry heavyweights from multiple generations such as Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Ajay Devgn and Kajol, etc.
The bungalow is home to Jeetendra, Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and her son Ravie, while Tusshar Kapoor lives nearby. The residence features plush interiors, family photographs, artwork and dedicated guest spaces. It also has a large Ganesh temple, with the Kapoor family known for hosting Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the property.
Jeetendra’s early life and family wealth
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Jeetendra recalled his childhood in Girgaon’s Shyam Sadan chawl and the values he picked up from his family and surroundings. He also remembered how the installation of a fan in his home was once considered a major event, with residents of the building coming to see it.
The family later became associated with several high-value commercial properties. Moneycontrol reported that Jeetendra Kapoor and his family sold a plot in Andheri to NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure for Rs 855 crore. The approximately 9,664.68-square-metre site housed Balaji IT Park.
Jeetendra: From Bollywood star to businessman
Jeetendra, one of Bollywood’s most popular actors, has built a successful business career alongside his decades-long film journey. His family’s recent property transactions have further brought attention to their business and real estate holdings.
According to Lifestyle Asia, Jeetendra’s net worth stood at Rs 10.84 crore as of April 2024. He reportedly earns around Rs 26 lakh a month, with an annual income of about Rs 3 crore. He is the chairman of Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures, with the production house reporting revenue of around Rs 422 crore.
Jeetendra lives with his wife Shobha Kapoor and daughter Ektaa Kapoor at Krishna Bungalow in Juhu, which has been reported to be worth around Rs 200 crore. His car collection includes a Range Rover reportedly valued at Rs 3 crore.

Financial Express reported in November 2023 that Ektaa’s net worth was around Rs 95 crore, with a monthly income of about Rs 2.8 crore and annual earnings of nearly Rs 30 crore. Her wealth was reported to have increased by 25% in recent years.
Ektaa serves as the Joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms, which has produced more than 17,000 hours of daily soaps. The company has reported revenue of around Rs 422 crore. ALTBalaji, the group’s digital platform, recorded revenue of Rs 102.6 crore in 2022.
Tusshar Kapoor: Actor with a growing property portfolio
Tusshar Kapoor made his acting debut at 19 with Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai , opposite Kareena Kapoor. He later appeared in films including The Dirty Picture , Kyaa Kool Hain Hum and the Golmaal franchise.
While Tusshar has continued to act, his film appearances have become less frequent in recent years. According to an ABP Live report from November 2024, he earns around Rs 40 lakh a month from brand shoots and has an annual income of about Rs 5 crore.
