Jedward have provoked an angry reaction on Twitter as they called for the monarchy to be abolished just days after the Queen passed away.
The pop twins, who rose to fame on X Factor, took to the social media platform on Saturday to voice their opinion and asked the new king to "give the people real democracy", after his reign was officially declared.
The 30-year-olds wrote: "Abolish the monarchy and give the people real democracy!"
The duo then shared a second tweet which said: "King Charles should hand back the six Irish counties on his visit to Northern Ireland – No war! Just words! It's time."
While many Twitter users have retweeted and 'liked' the comments, others slammed the pair for their opinions.
One person replied: "Guys your embarrassing yourselves now enough enough."
Another said: "Whoever is babysitting these two clowns needs to be reprimanded," while a third added: "This is the time where 'children should be seen and not heard'."
Other people seemed open to the debate, with one person tweeting: "Don’t disagree in an ideological sense but in practice would be hard."
Another added: "Money used for coronations and funerals that could go to the poor! Sick of it."
The Queen's death was confirmed on Thursday, as a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
You can leave your tributes to Queen Elizabeth II here
"The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
Her son, the former Prince of Wales, is now King Charles III, as the world grieves Britain's longest-reigning monarch.
Jedward's latest comments come after the pair were recently slammed for sharing "insensitive" comments about the Queen's health, after it was revealed her doctors were concerned for her.
On Thursday, the duo - aka John and Edward Grimes - wrote: " Liz truss must have done something on that visit to the Queen!"
The singers were seemingly referencing Truss' visit to see the Queen at Balmoral Castle on Tuesday, as she succeeds Boris Johnson as leader of the Conservative Party and the United Kingdom's Prime Minister.
"You pair are a disgrace," one angry Twitter user said, with another writing: "This is someone’s mum, gran etc. Imagine how you’d feel if someone said something about your mum before she died!!!"
Some Twitter users rushed to Jedward's defence as criticism began to flood Twitter.
