Criticizing the Biden administration for bureaucratic delays, Vance suggested that more could be done to demonstrate care for the people of Western North Carolina. When asked about his successor as Senator from Ohio, Vance humorously mentioned Tillis but redirected the focus to the current visit in North Carolina.
Regarding his future role as vice president, Vance evaded specifics about his portfolio discussions with Trump. He emphasized a broad focus on assisting the people of North Carolina and suggested that his vice presidency would enable him to better support the community in Western North Carolina.
