JD Vance refused to reveal the advice he gave Donald Trump on the war with Iran, joking that he didn’t “want to go to prison”.
Speaking in North Carolina on Friday (13 March), the vice president was asked what he initially advised Trump as he considered his actions on Iran, as well as what he is “urging him to do now”.
Vance was quick to shut down the question, revealing how in the Situation Room, “you can’t take anything in there because it is the most classified space anywhere in the world.”
He added: “I hate to disappoint you, but I'm not gonna show up here and in front of God and everybody else, tell you exactly what I said in that classified room, partially because cause I don't want to go to prison.”
