JD Sports has outlined plans to open up to 350 stores a year as part of its bid to become the world's "leading global sports-fashion powerhouse".
The Bury-headquartered group has drawn up a five-year plan that will see it expand across North America and Europe which it hopes will generate £1bn of cash every year.
JD Sports said it is aiming to spend between £500m and £600m a year to fuel its expansion, with 50% to 60% focused on opening new stores.
