JD Sports boss joins board of fashion brand co-founded by reality TV star

A top boss at JD Sports has joined the board of a Manchester fashion brand co-founded by a reality TV star.

Chief financial officer Neil Greenhalgh has taken the role at The Couture Club after it had previously been held by Peter Cowgill.

Mr Cowgill recently left Bury-headquartered JD Sports after stepping down as executive chairman.

The Couture Club was founded by Lancashire-born MTV star Ross Worswick and entrepreneur Scott Shashua with a £5,000 investment.

The company's largest shareholder is 2squared Agency which was acquired by JD Sports in 2016.

Mr Worswick found fame after appearing on MTV's Ex on the Beach reality series in 2014.

Last month BusinessLive revealed how Mr Greenhalgh's salary at JD Sports was set to jump by £100,000 to £450,000.
