The Jazz dropped a new shirt which apparently was sold in their team store, but there was one glaring issue with it. The gray shirt, which featured the Michael Jordan “Jumpman” logo was spread right across the front of it.
The logo appeared just above the team’s name, making it look like Jordan was dunking over it, in case the logo itself didn’t add enough insult to injury.
When the shirt was released, it came with a massive amount of confusion from Jazz fans. It surely brought back some tough memories of the 1996–97 and ’97–98 seasons as well, in which Utah lost in the NBA Finals to Jordan and the Bulls both years.
Not surprisingly, just days after its release, it was confirmed by Jazz beat writer Andy Larsen that the team had pulled the shirt and would no longer sell it.
