Jayson Tatum‘s status as a top-10 player in the NBA makes him a role model for children worldwide. The Boston Celtics star forward is the face of the organization and does a lot of work throughout the community and in his hometown of St. Louis. Tatum recently took a break from his busy schedule to attend BPS.
In a video shared on Instagram, Tatum is introduced to a hall full of excited kids by Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu. Tatum gave a speech to the group, explaining the value of listening to the role models in your life and learning from the lessons they can teach you.
Tatum’s close relationship with his mother is well documented. And he touches on that relationship in his speech to the kids in attendance. The star forward’s appearance was well received, and went viral across social media, allowing his message to be spread around the world.
