‘Jayson stole the kiss’ of death celebration from teammate Jaylen Brown, claims the latter after Jazz shellacking

As have the Boston Celtics risen in the standings, so has media scrutiny of their celebratory actions, and most notable of all the Celtics habitual celebrations when grinding their opponents down to dust has been All-Star forward Jayson Tatum’s so-called “kiss of death” he breaks out from time to time.

Other Boston players have been seen to do it, but the origin of the act, it seems, had been attributed to the wrong player. The St. Louis native may have been the most frequent deployer of the kinetic version of Gino Time or Red Auerbach’s cigar, but when asked about such celebratory acts after obliterating the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, fellow star forward Jaylen Brown revealed an interesting claim.

“Jayson stole the kiss from me,” said Brown with a smirk. “He watches me work out … and then pregame when I’m getting ready for the game, he watches my workout and what I’ve got going on.”

Inviting fans to “roll the tape back” and check for themselves, it seems it’s not only Grant Williams rolling out contentious cultural practices with a dubious foundation.

Not that anyone minds in the slightest with the team rolling opponents as they have been.
