Jayden Daniels is back in the spotlight, but this time the Washington Commanders quarterback is making headlines off the field. The former LSU star and 2023 Heisman Trophy winner has told his college program to stop using his name, image and likeness after LSU gave his former No. 5 jersey to highly touted cornerback DJ Pickett.
Daniels' representative sent LSU a cease-and-desist letter dated August 5, asking the university to stop using his NIL without permission. The dispute has also centered on the decision to give No. 5 to Pickett, marking the first time another LSU player has worn the number since Daniels left the program.
