“He’s fine.”
Those two words are precisely what Washington Commanders’ fans wanted to hear after sensational rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels departed Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury.
Those two words came from Daniels’ mother, who took to X to let fans know that the Washington quarterback is not seriously injured.
Early in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Panthers, Daniels and a Washington trainer returned to the field during the game and waved at fans with a smile on his face.
While the team has yet to offer an official injury update, it’s tough to find a better source than Daniels’ mother, whom he’s extremely close to.

Washington coach Dan Quinn didn’t give many details at halftime but should offer more information after Sunday’s game.
Daniels attempted only two passes against the Panthers, completing both, and rushed for 50 yards on three attempts before departing.
Daniels and the Commanders face the Chicago Bears and No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams next week. Will Daniels be on the field?
