Jay-Z says headlining Super Bowl halftime show is 'a dream come true'

  • The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation have announced that 25-time Grammy Award-winning rapper Jay-Z will headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on 14 February.
  • The announcement puts Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter in the spotlight seven years after his entertainment agency, Roc Nation, began advising and co-producing the NFL's flagship halftime spectacle in 2019.
  • NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revealed he had requested Jay-Z take to the stage himself since their initial partnership began, praising his extraordinary cultural impact, artistry, and creativity.
  • Jay-Z described the upcoming performance as a “dream come true”, marking three decades of music, work, and culture following the conclusion of his "Jay-Z 30" concert run in London, New York, and Southern California.
  • The 56-year-old music mogul, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records in 1994 and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017, follows last year's acclaimed headline performance by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.
