Jay Monahan, the commissioner of the PGA Tour, remains adamant a deal will be completed between his organisation and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund despite a backdrop of scepticism. Monahan revealed an “intensity and urgency” to talks as the 31 December deadline to turn a framework agreement into binding contracts draws closer.
