Jay Leno has suffered serious burns to his face after a car burst into flames.

The US comedian is recovering in a burn centre after the horror accident at a Los Angeles garage where he keeps his fleet of luxury cars on Sunday.

Jay, 72, had been due to perform at a financial conference in Las Vegas that evening, but was unable to attend after suffering a serious injury to the left side of his face.
