Jay Leno rushed to hospital with shattered bones in bike crash months after horror fire

Jay Leno has reportedly broken several bones in a motorbike accident, just two months after he sustained second-degree burns in a fire.

Back in November, the 72-year-old suffered serious burns to his face after a car erupted into flames in the Los Angeles garage where he keeps his fleet of luxury cars.

He spent 10 days in the Grossman Burn Centre where he had 'skin grafts' and other surgeries to aid his severe injuries.

Now, Jay is said to have suffered a broken collarbone, two fractured ribs and two cracked kneecaps after being "knocked off" his motorbike.

The former Tonight Show host is said to have been riding a vintage 1940 Indian motorbike when he started to smell fuel leaking and decided to pull over to investigate.

Jay said: "I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it."

Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he added: "I didn't see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.

"The bike kept going, and you know how that works out."

The accident is said to have taken place on January 17, but Jay told the publication that he didn't make it public knowledge at the time because there had been so much chaos from his November accident.

He added that after being involved in one incident, "you just want to keep your head down".

Jay said he is currently doing "ok" and added that he will still be working this weekend.

Last month, he opened up about the terrifying moment he was accidentally set on fire in his garage.

Speaking to NBC News' Hoda Kotb about the scary ordeal, he said he had been working on a 1907 White Steam car when he was set alight.

While trying to unclog a fuel line, he says he asked pal Dave Killackey to blow some air through it when the gas suddenly hit him in the face.

Fortunately for the star, his friend was close by and able to pull him out of harm's way by jumping on top of him to smother the fire.
