Javi Gracia will be under no illusions about the size of the job facing him after taking over at Leeds United. The Spanish head coach still hasn’t started work as he waits for a work permit, but, including Saturday's Southampton game, he will have just 15 games to turn the Whites around.
Leeds only dropped into the bottom three on Saturday following their loss to Everton and, as it stands, they remain just two points away from safety. However, they are on a 10-game winless run and if the malaise is allowed to continue, they will find themselves playing Championship football next season.
As such, Gracia knows he has improvements to make across the board if Leeds are to beat the drop and every training session could be vital. However, as he surveys the squad he has inherited, he would be within his rights to feel confident about the task at hand.
