The NFL loves a great storyline and the Week 16 matchup on Christmas Eve between Dallas and Philadelphia just got a little more intriguing.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that Cowboys starting right tackle Terrence Steele will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL and MCL in the win over the Texans.
With Steele out, former Eagles star left tackle Jason Peters was inserted at right tackle on the final drive and played a critical role in Dallas hanging on for the win.
In addition to the ACL, Steele also suffered an MCL tear, per source. Major loss for the Cowboys OL. Zack Martin called Steele the best OL on the team. Set to be an RFA after the season. Cowboys have hoped to sign him to long-term deal. https://t.co/J424CQoEQ5

The Cowboys will now have to decide whether it’s the ineffective Jason Ball or the future Hall of farmer Peters, who signed with Dallas in hopes of another Super Bowl ring.
We’ll keep you updated as things develop.
