Jason Oppenheim is still "madly in love" with his ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause, according to their Selling Sunset co-star Mary Fitzgerald.
Jason, 44, and Chrishell, 40, went public with their relationship in a post on social media in July last year after dating for months.
But the couple announced at the end of the year that they had split up because Jason didn't want to have children.
The former couple both feature on Netflix's Selling Sunset - he's the co-founder of the Oppenheim Group and she's a real estate agent working for the brokerage.
Their co-stars Mary, 40, and her husband Romain Bonnet, 28, have spoken about them and the cause of the split in an interview with Us weekly this week.
Mary said she was "surprised" by the break-up, with her adding that Jason is still "madly in love" with Chrishell - who was previously married to actor Justin Hartley, 45.
According to the outlet, Mary - who previously dated Jason - said she was aware of his hesitation about becoming a father, with her "shocked" he even considered it.
She commented: "I know that [Jason] was going back and forth because kids - to him - that's something, I mean, he's never wanted."
Chrishell - a former actor who has appeared on soap operas All My Children and Days of Our Lives - has been vocal about her desire to have children, even hinting about doing it alone.
Mary said: "There's a time limit on how long she's got. [Jason's] not going to be ready in her timeframe. He wishes he could though."
She said that the former couple are "mutually okay with it" and are "still really good friends," adding: "They both love each other very, very much, but they just want different things as far as a family life."

Announcing their split in December last year, Jason told his followers in a statement on social media that he and Chrishell had "different wants regarding a family".
She said in her own statement that their "ideas for family" were not "aligned," adding in her post: "Men have the luxury of time that women don't and that's just the way it goes."
Chrishell further commented in her statement: "I very much hope to one day have a family and decisions I make at this point are with that goal in mind."
