Jason Manford got into the St Patrick’s Day spirit in one of Newcastle’s most famous bars.
After, like many gigs, it was rescheduled due to coronavirus, comedian Jason, currently on screen in new ITV talent show Starstruck, finally took to the stage at the O2 City Hall on Thursday night.
And, after doing some singing on stage, belting out musical classic This is The Moment, Jason, who has appeared in hit musical The Producers as well as being Hedgehog on The Masked Singer, hot footed it to the most famous karaoke bar in town to join the St Patrick's party.

Groat Market party haunt Cosy’s is known for attracting quite a crowd any night of the week and, given that it was Paddy’s Day and Newcastle had been playing (sorry about the score lads!) there was quite a crowd by the time Jason got there.
Jason posted two videos from his time at Cosy Joes on his Instagram story, one of them of him dancing away as traditional Irish music played in the background and the second seeing him wince as he sipped on a pint of Guinness.
He captioned the first: "Me and Uncle Ste made it out onto Newcastle for St Patrick’s Day shenanigans!"
Cosy’s staff obviously clocked Jason as they posted a picture of Jason on their Facebook page in the early hours, telling revellers: “Jason Manford in the building, come and say hello.”
There’s been no word yet if Jason got up a did a tune on the karaoke, but we can only hope he belted out a bit of Paradise By The Dashboard light, whilst wearing a special edition Cosy Joes T-shirt!
Before heading out on the town, Jason posted a picture of his packed City Hall crowd on Instagram and wrote: "What an incredible night in Newcastle as always. Great support from @matreed_comedian!"
Informing fans of his next visit to Newcastle, he added: "I’m back at Arena in October & there’s 50% off tickets until Monday. Use the code MANFORD when buying."
