With Jason Kelce seemingly hanging up his shoulder pads for good, the NFL world started commemorating the future Hall of Fame center on Tuesday. Heck, even Taylor Swift fans couldn’t believe how emotional they were over Kelce riding off into the sunset.
One of the better stories about Kelce came from NFL on Fox reporter Laura Okmin. She revealed that Kelce actually had an amusing NSFW catchphrase he used for every Tush Push the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense utilized. (Even this one.) As the focal point for Jalen Hurts trying to cross the first-down marker, it was Kelce’s way of acknowledging the pain and toll the short-yardage play took on his body.
And it nailed Kelce’s hilarious personality to a tee:
My favorite quote of the season was one I couldn’t say on TV. Explaining the toll the tush push takes on you, @JasonKelce told me upon push, he yells, “FU@K MY LIFE!” (Jalen Hurts confirmed) Here’s to a man who also screams – and lives –
“I LOVE my life” just as passionately. pic.twitter.com/yd0g2az9bB— Laura Okmin (@LauraOkmin) January 16, 2024
That is absolute gold. Crucially, Kelce never rebelled and refused to help on the Tush Push. He cared more about his teammates and winning than the physical toll on his body. But it’s still so funny he found a way to create some momentary joy for himself as he repeatedly crumpled his body at the line of scrimmage every week.
If that doesn’t sum up Jason Kelce’s NFL career, I don’t know what does.
NFL fans thought Kelce's NSFW catchphrase about the Tush Push was hilarious
