Jason Kelce reflects on changing fame due to Taylor Swift connection

Jason Kelce's fanbase has changed

Jason Kelce's fanbase has shifted from "large fat men" to "little girls" since his brother, Travis Kelce, started dating Taylor Swift.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player - who co-hosts the New Heights podcast with his sibling - has reflected on how "the fame thing" has changed in recent years for him and admitted the attention he and the rest of his family receive has skyrocketed over the last three years since it emerged the Kansas City Chiefs player was romancing the Love Story hitmaker.

Speaking on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast, Jason said of fame: "It was definitely gradual, and then it just like was a very big flip, obviously, when Taylor and Travis started dating.

"[That] led to a whole ‘nother demographic of fan base being interested in not just me but our entire family.”

And as a result of the relationship between Travis and Taylor - who married in a star-studded ceremony at New York's Madison Square Garden earlier this month - Jason saw a major change in his interactions with members of the public.

He explained: “I went from very much being dominated by large fat men coming up to me and shaking my hand and thanking me for being an Eagle to little girls.

“It was quite a shift of people that became fans.”

Jason and wife Kylie's four daughters, Wyatt, six, Elliotte, five, Bennett, three, and 15-month-old Finnley, were flower girls at Travis and Taylor's wedding and the ESPN analyst recently admitted it was special for them to be involved in the big day.

Speaking during the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. Jason, 38, said: “It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible.

“They’re beautiful, they’re incredible personalities.

“And Travis and Taylor love them.”

He concluded: “So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day.”
