Jason Kelce recently opened up about his parenting experiences on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis Kelce. The NFL star and father of three discussed handling his daughters while his wife was away at Milan Fashion Week. Kelce mentioned that he found it easier to manage his older daughters, Wyatt (4) and Elliotte (3), but struggled with his youngest, Bennett, who recently turned 1.
During the podcast, Kelce admitted, 'It's really the baby, the infant that for some reason I'm just not as adept at handling. I try.' He also humorously confessed to pretending to be asleep when he needed to wake up for his children.
In a light-hearted moment, Kelce joked that despite being the adult at home, it was actually Wyatt who ran the household. He mentioned, 'Wyatt is always in charge, really. You try to not make her be in charge, I try to discipline her. It’s just hard. It is hard to reason with somebody that has no reason.'
Travis Kelce shared an amusing anecdote about Wyatt shooting Elliotte with a toy gun, showcasing the playful dynamics between the siblings. The brothers also reflected on the joy their children bring to their lives.
Jason Kelce recently retired from the NFL and expressed gratitude towards his family, particularly his wife, Kylie, for their support. He emphasized the importance of fatherhood, stating, 'I am a product of my upbringing. I think one of the best things a person can be in this world is a father. A father who is present, loving, and devoted just might be the greatest gift a child could ask for in our society.'
