Eagles standout center Jason Kelce, hinted that this could be his first final season in the NFL while appearing on The NFL Report with Steve Wyche and James Palmer.
The six-time Pro Bowl standout, upon being pressed about his busy schedule off the gridiron, shared that his career “could be over pretty soon.”
“I think it is a lot, and I think the way we’ve justified it as a family is this [playing football] is going to be over pretty soon here” said the 35-year-old Kelce. “If it’s this year, which it very well could be, we want to make sure that we’re ready to go when football’s done.”
Jason and his brother Travis, who are the hosts of the popular podcast New Heights, continue to thrive in their off-the-field endeavors.
“With all of these different opportunities and things, we need to figure out what we want to do in retirement,” added Kelce.
In addition to starring in a host of commercials, last season Kelce and fellow Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata released a hit Christmas album.
"You need to just enjoy the last time you have left with the guys you have,” stressed Kelce. "When these opportunities [the Christmas album] come up, you realize that the closer you are to the end of your career the opportunities to do these fun and engaging things with fans and friends is gonna be less and less and you realize that and it makes you want to do them that much more because when you're done it's not gonna be there as much.”
Everywhere you look there's Jason Kelce. But is it too much? Is he spreading himself too thin?

If this season is his final year in the NFL, Kelce certainly will have the opportunity to go out on top, as the Eagles boast the best record (6–1) in the NFC and appear poised for another deep run in the postseason.
