Jason Donovan, born in Malvern, Australia, rocketed to fame and became a notorious heartthrob on the set of Neighbours. The 54-year-old actor turned singer played cheeky teen Scott Robinson alongside his on-screen wife Kylie Minogue.
Following his three-year stint on Neighbours, that ran from 1986 to 1989, Jason’s singing career took off. He has had four UK number one singles and has sold over three million records in the UK alone. His hit debut album Ten Good Reasons had sales of over 1.5million in the UK.
In 1991 he secured the leading role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, showing in West End's London Palladium. During this period of success Jason battled a drug addiction and was dropped by his record label in 1994, The Express reports.

He made a gradual recovery from his drug addiction after meeting his wife Angela Malloch, a stage manager, as he toured small-town theatres for the making of The Rocky Horror Show in 1998. The pair had their first child two years later and married in 2008.
The couple now live in London’s Notting Hill in a £5.5 million home, complete with a music studio, the Mirror reports. Jason shares three children with wife Angela; Jemma, 22, Zac, 21, and Molly, 11.
Jason’s career came full-circle when he appeared on Ramsay Street again for the first time in three decades as the final episode of Neighbours was aired. The cast, including Kylie and Holly Valance, reunited to make a small appearance in the last ever episode of the show.

Speaking on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories Jason credited his wife with his recovery. He said: “She was a woman who came around and stood up to me and made me accountable.”
It was only when his first daughter Jemma was born in 2000 that Jason began “gradually falling out of love” with cocaine. He told Piers that his wife Angela had changed the “landscape” of his life. He added: “She’s the love of my life”.
In a 2019 interview with PA Media, Jason said: "No life is perfect, you know, and I’m far from it. I got very lucky very young, I got a little sidetracked by my own desire to think that by going out there and 'crashing the car', as I see it, that I was going to be cool."
