Jason Donovan’s daughter Jemma has sparked real-life romance rumours with her Hollyoaks co-star Owen Warner.
The actress joined the Channel 4 soap in January as ‘party girl’ and ‘social media sensation’ Rayne Royce.
As Jemma celebrated her 23rd birthday this week, she posted a snap to her Instagram stories cuddling up to Owen, who has played Romeo Nightingale in Hollyoaks since 2018.
The pair looked to be going somewhere on a train together and Jemma captioned the post: “Happy birthday to me x.”
Over on his own Instagram, Owen – who is also 23 – also mentioned Jemma saying: “Happy birthday to this stunner.”
Both messages were shared to their Instagram stories and have since disappeared, but could well be the start of a new romance for the pair.
The Mirror has reached out to reps for Jemma and Owen for comment.
In the past, Owen has dated a string of famous ladies including former Hollyoaks co-star Stephanie Davis, Love Island bombshell Lana Jenkins and Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry.
He also took time out from his acting career last year to go on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and came second place, narrowly losing out to Lioness Jill Scott.
Although she is new on the soap, could Hollyoaks new girl Jemma have turned Owen’s head?
It was announced Jemma – who has previously starred in Neighbours, like her Australian dad – had joined the cast of Hollyoaks in October 2022.
But she didn’t appear on TV screens until January this year.
Her character is part of a new group of 20-somethings living in a shared house in Chester, where the soap is set.
Speaking about her new role, Jemma said: “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks!
“I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be able to bring something unique and fun to a new role and I can’t wait to be a part of the Hollyoaks family.”
Before joining Hollyoaks, Jemma played Harlow Robinson in Aussie soap Neighbours.
She was part of the cast from 2019 but left in June 2022, shortly before the long-running soap was axed.
As she continued her birthday celebrations, Jemma posted a video of a birthday cake, balloons and presents to her Instagram stories.
Dad Jason also posted a birthday tribute to his daughter, who he shares with wife Angela Malloch.
Sharing snaps of them together, the 54-year-old singer and actor wrote: “Happy Birthday Jem. 23! Miss you! Love you! Can’t wait to see you.”
Giving some fatherly advice, he included a quote by best-selling author Yung Pueblo which said: “Love yourself incredibly well, make your healing a top priority. Follow through on your goals and do not worry about how others will react to that level of focused energy. Emotionally mature people will be attracted by your flourishing.”
Jason added: “Keep your face to the sunshine, healthy body, healthy mind. Above all... have a laugh. Always smile. Love you to the moon. Dad X.”
